MIB
From the time this department was formed in 1997, as a multi-disciplinary entity based on the central discipline of management, it has continued to expand rapidly. Today, a wide range of qualifications can be gained from diverse studies ranging across areas such as e-business, entrepreneurship and small business, human resource management, international business, sport management, and communication.
The academic backgrounds of our highly qualified staff are also multi-disciplinary: we come from the sciences, social sciences and the humanities. Consequently our approach to conducting research is both qualitative and quantitative. The department has approximately 900 Effective Full-Time Students (EFTS) many of whom study part-time. Our Postgraduate Diploma in Business & Administration and the Master of Management degree are very popular, so over 25% of our students are enrolled in postgraduate studies. We also have a thriving PhD programme. I hope you will explore our pages further and then visit our beautiful, spacious and friendly new campus. Associate Professor John Monin, Head of Department |
